Best time to influence the new government is now

As you are a member of the Australian Institute for Progress I'm looking for your input into a policy submission we are sending to all federal members of parliament.

I intend to email the finished document on Thursday, which gives you just over 24 hours until 7:00 pm tomorrow. Don't feel obliged to contribute, but if you do have any particular ideas, please let me know. I can't promise to incorporate everything, but I will take it on board.

We haven't tried to cover every issue, and we've looked for approaches that are outside the current frame of debate, so that they have a better chance of being implemented.

Rather than widening the Overton Window, part of our strategy is to open a new window.
