COVID19 Seminar Series Cancellation: Tony Makin and Kate Carnell
Dear , I owe you an explanation as to why we had to cancel Monday’s seminar. I learned a lesson yesterday about having multiple redundancies. I’m still not sure what happened, but Zoom wouldn’t load on my computer without a reboot, and even after the reboot wouldn’t load. By the time I’d rebooted twice all the time I had allowed for contingencies, and then some, had been used up. I’ve invested in another computer and installed Zoom on it, which will give us a fallback next time, and it is also installed on the computer Nicholas, who produces the shows for me, uses. So this issue shouldn’t arise again as we have two backups, but I apologise for the time that you wasted yesterday. I’ve spoken to Tony and Kate, both of whom are prepared to do it at another time. It looks like it might be a Thursday evening. When I have a definite new time I will let you know. You should have received a refund of your payment. If you haven’t, pleased let me know and I will sort it out. Thanks for your patience, and I hope you are able to make the session at the rescheduled time. Regards and apologies, Graham Young
