What question would you like Will Shackel to be asked?
Dear , Whether or not you are coming to our “A New Generation for Nuclear” function this coming Friday October 13, you might like to ask Will Shackel a question. Campbell Newman will interview Will on stage as part of his presentation, and I’m going to act as Campbell’s producer. That means I get to write the script for Campbell and make suggestions about appropriate questions. I thought you might be interested in being a “co-producer”. Of course, nothing is better than asking your own question yourself, and there will be audience questions, so if you haven’t already booked, please click here. I’m interested in the personal side of Will. What makes a 17-year-old decide to take on a project like this? How did he develop his independent thinking and persuasion skills? What’s it like being a minor public figure in the school yard? Does he think climate change is an existential threat? What about the comparison with Greta? I’m also interested in the marketing side of his project. He’s had great success. Greater success than a lot of Australian pro-nuclear activists who have been at it much longer. What has he done to make his efforts stand out? What’s the one argument that works the best? What failures has he experienced? So over to you. Send me ideas and insights at graham.young@aip.asn.au. And if you haven’t booked already, or forgotten the details they are: Date: Friday October 13, 12:00 for 12:30 (ends 2:30) Venue: The Brisbane Club, 241 Adelaide Street, Brisbane Cost: $135 AIP members, $165 others, $100 students, $1350 tables of ten (all tickets include two course meal and drinks) Booking: Please click here
BTW, we still have one premium seat left. There are only two, and they are each side of the guest speaker. Real value. Regards, GRAHAM YOUNG EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
