Another climate convert strengthens the case for attending our lecture by Kesten Green

Can next week's lecturer Kesten Green claim some of the credit for this?

Dear ,

One of the more influential proponents of climate catastrophe Ted Nordhaus, has changed his mind. He joins an expanding club which includes Michael Shellenberger, Michael Mann, Steve Koonin, Judith Curry, John Clauser, Mike Hulme and many other converts with significant and credible credentials.

Why? Presumably by applying the scientific method and paying attention to the sort of evidence our guest speaker, Kesten Green,  is producing..

An added bonus to our lecture Tuesday next week is that Kesten coauthored The Scientific Method: A Guide to Finding Useful Knowledge, with Emeritus Professor J Scott Armstrong. (It is published by Cambridge University Press - this is a heavyweight book).

So, while he will be talking about what his review of climate models reveals about the principal drivers of climate, a subset of his talk will involve the scientific method itself.

If you haven’t booked for the function yet, please click here.

Kesten will also have copies of The Scientific Method for sale. A good read for you, but also something you might like to give to friends whose grasp of what science is, and how it is done, is perhaps a little sketchy.

This is the first of a new style of function where we bring you great guest speakers at an affordable price. Rather than a formal lunch the format is a lunchtime lecture with light refreshments, held in a boardroom in the CBD.

At a price range between $30 and $50 I’m hoping that gives you affordable value, while providing us with enough surplus to pay to get great speakers here.
