"Cancel Culture" launch rescheduled and another book launch

COVID notwithstanding

Dear ,

The launch of Cancel Culture and the Left's Long March  had to be postponed due to COVID restrictions. It will now be held on Wednesday August 25, 2021 at 12:00 for 12:30 pm at the Brisbane Club.

Bookings can be made by clicking on this link. If you have already booked and haven't asked for a refund we will assume you are still coming. If this is not correct, please let us know as soon as possible. There was a lot of demand before we had to reschedule it, and we expect it to be sold out.

Tickets are $135 for AIP members, or tables of 10, and $165 for the general public, with a student ticket of $100 available as well. This includes a 2 course meal and drinks.

Fridays on Logan Road are also restarting, with the first event set down for Friday August 6, 2021 at our offices, 50 Logan Road, starting at 6:00 pm. Our first event will be the launch of Russell Cooper's autobiography Coop The Reluctant Premier. You can book by clicking on this link.

The book covers a period of interest to anyone who was involved in either of the Liberal or National Parties, especially those who, like me, were participants in the 1989 state election. The book will be launched by Sallyanne Atkinson AO, former Lord Mayor of Brisbane.

Tickets are $15 for AIP members, and $5 for AIP student members, and $20 general admissions and $10 for students. This covers wine and nibbles.

And while on the subject of functions, our friends at The Brisbane Dialogues have a discussion "Climate Change - What *Can* We Agree On?" coming up on 26th of July, 2021. They have a star-studded line-up. It will be chaired by former Deputy PM Hon John Anderson AO, and speakers  are Professor Hugh Possingham, Dr Maia Schweizer and Emeritus Professor Robin Batterham AO.

It will be held at The Tivoli theatre starting at 7:00 pm and you can book by clicking here.

Kind regards,

GRAHAM YOUNG
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
