Measuring all the cost to human life
Dear , If you haven't already booked don't forget the first seminar in our online series looking at COVID-19, its causes, consequences and cures and our first lecturer Professor Paul Frijters of the London School of Economics.
The lecture will start at 6:00 pm EST, Professor Frijters will speak for around 45 minutes, and then there will be questions from the audience for another half hour. To book click here.
I think you'll be shocked by the damage that we are doing to the health of all Australians by lockdowns designed to save the lives of some Australians..
I have some of the risk factors for COVID, as I know some of you do too, so it's not an academic exercise for us. But in other areas of our lives we knowingly accept fatal risk, whether it is driving our car, dangling our legs in the ocean, or ignoring the advice of our doctor on how many drinks we should have. We accept that a long life is not the paramount value in life, and that sometimes other people's lives, like our childrens', can be even more valuable than our own, at a moment in time.
To be part of this first-ever online AIP seminar please click here to book. We are charging members a minimal cost of $5 to defray costs. That will entitle you to be online via Zoom, and also submit a question. We're also looking for sponsors if you, or someone you know, is interested.
When: 6:00pm, Monday May 18 Where: online via Zoom Cost: General Admission $10. AIP Member Admission $5. To book click here. Regards,
GRAHAM YOUNG EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
