Event notice: John Mickel and Graham Young preview Election 2020

Webinar tonight at 6:00 pm AEST

This webinar may help you prepare for covering the 2020 election. John Mickel, former Beattie minister and speaker of the Queensland Parliament, now an adjunct associate professor at QUT, and I, a former Liberal Party state campaign chairman and now Executive Director of the Australian Institute for Progress and pollster, will review the state of play including the themes for the election, strategy and tactics being used in this coming state election by the various parties, and the seats to watch.

John and I come from opposite sides of the political spectrum, but have been friends for a long time, and we both understand the intricacies of campaigning. This should be a cordial in-depth conversation informed by viewpoint diversity.

It is a Zoom event, today (Thursday 8 October) at 6:00 pm AEST. If you would like to attend, please notify me on graham.young@aip.asn.au. Media will receive complimentary access.

I anticipate there will be plenty of opportunity for audience participation, and know that some of those in the audience will be just as knowledgeable as John and me. Of course you will be able to ask questions as well.

Regards,

GRAHAM YOUNG
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
