Final call on the McIlwraith Lecture with Maha Sinnathamby

We still need you

Dear ,

The McIlwraith lecture is only two days away, but we still have some tickets to sell. Click here to buy yours.

With the AIP running a solid campaign this election, I know how busy some of you have been, but I'm looking forward to some socialising this Wednesday ahead of the final sprint to the line.

In the next week we have two policy papers to launch, and we've already launched one by Ross Elliott on housing affordability.(You can download here). I will be putting some of the ideas in Ross's paper to Maha Sinnathamby at the dinner, and I'll definitely be seeking meetings with the LNP to discuss, should they form the government after the next election.

Housing is an issue in which we are very much invested, and I hope you are too. Our Housing Affordability Index tracks the affordability of property, and the latest graphs are really quite frightening. We hope to have our report on the second quarter 2024 on the tables at the function. This is an absolutely fundamental issue that needs to be tackled.

Which makes it a really good time to be focussing on a successful entrepreneur who has founded Australia's first private city, and one which not only provides affordable shelter for its citizens, but wins design awards for it too, proving that good design does not have to be expensive.

Date is this Wednesday, October 16, at 7:00 for 7:30 pm. Venue is the Victoria Park Golf Club, Herston Road, Herston. To book click here. AIP members are $165 a head for a two-course meal with drinks.

Look forward to seeing you.

Regards,

GRAHAM YOUNG
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
