Fridays on Logan: Hong

A new concept for AIP

Confucius

Dear ,

This Friday will be the first in a series of new and regular events we are calling “Logan on Fridays”. On the first Friday of each month we will have an after-work event starting at 5:30 pm in our offices. We’ll charge a modest fee to cover food and drink, and have a discussion on an issue of importance.

The first session will be on Hong Kong with a presentation by Dan Ryan, one of our founding directors, who worked as a lawyer in Hong Kong and was a director of the Lion Rock Institute, Hong Kong’s leading free-market think tank. You may have read some of his articles in the AFR.

We’re also hoping to have at least one other person (and maybe two) who has been in Hong Kong during the recent unrest.

Logan on Fridays is designed to work in with the Liberty on the Rocks functions, which the Liberty movement in Brisbane has been holding on the first Friday of each month at a city pub.

They have moved their function to Woolloongabba, and we’re hoping that some of their regulars will join us before they go on to their drinks function, which starts at 7:00 pm at the Gabba Hotel.

You are also welcome to join them.

We’re pitching it at a price that should be good value for everyone, and stocking the AIP cellar with good quality wine and beer to make sure it definitely is.

The aim is to make our offices at 50 Logan Road a hub of activity supporting the politics and policies that advance the individual and their inalienable rights and responsibilities as the cornerstone of the best society.

Look forward to catching-up with you on this Friday, or the one after.
