This is a notice for a meeting I am convening in our offices at Woolloongabba for the inaugural meeting of an organising committee for the No Campaign for the Voice in Queensland.

I'm writing to you because you are influential and I have assumed you would be against The Voice as it is currently proposed.

The campaign that I am involved with is the Recognise A Better Way campaign, chaired by Warren Mundine, and involving Gary Johns. We believe this will be recognised as the official campaign organisation.

If I've made a mistake I hope you accept my position, as I accept yours, and ignore this email.

If I'm not mistaken please think about attending.

This is a meeting to start gathering together people who will be able to physically help with organising volunteers, events or fundraising.

The date of the referendum hasn't been determined but we expect it to be between October and December this year. That gives us maybe only 6 months to pull together an Australia-wide organisation that can man polling booths across the country, as well as distributing pamphletts to every letter box in the country.

The official national committee is well underway with research and fundraising, but this will not survive as a top-down centralised campaign - it needs volunteers at every level.

Could you please let me know if you are interested, and if you can come? If you can't come but can help at some level I would also like to hear from you. We will also have a facility to Zoom in if there are enough people who need to do that.
