Round off your week with friends

Dear ,
Our book launches are a great place to meet and socialise with others who share similar views. We have good food (thanks to our sponsor Michael Dalton from Fino Foods) and wine. And of course engaging speakers.
This is a last reminder of this evening's event.
Their Fiery Cross of Union: A Retelling of the Creation of the Australian Federation 1889-1914 by William Coleman is a fresh look at the origins of the Australian Federation.
Last time we heard from William it was the launch of his book Campus Meltdown: The Deepening Crisis in Australia's Universities.
Dr Scott Prasser, formerly a professor of political science, and AIP member, and a senior fellow with the Centre for Independent Studies will launch the book, and I'm looking forward to a polite but intense exchange between him and William because they have very different views.
I see the PM under fire from flooded residents for not acting quickly enough as though everything in the country is his responsibility, but that's not federation. So what is federation? That's a topic we might explore.
