Australia is so reliant on the Chinese economy via our sales of iron ore and coal, and recent budgets have been built on record high prices of both commodities. The signs are that they may never be this high again. The Chinese economy is stuttering at the same time the Chinese are developing massive new mineral resources around the world to pull the price of commodities down. So demand and price could be simultaneously come back to clobber our economy.

Will Matt touch on these issues, or is there something even more left-field he wants to highlight. You'll have to be there to find out!

The venue is the Stair Stadium in The Precinct in the Valley. It is close to parking and public transport in the old TC Beirne Building. If you want to grab a meal afterwards there are plenty of options to suit all budgets.
