Reminder: Mark Latham on Identity Politics: Origins and Outrages
Dear ,
It's just over a week until the Mark Latham function, out in the suburbs at the Coorparoo RSL. (Click here to book). We've had a good response to date, but there's room for many more. And we'll be applying the funds raised to our key project for Queensland in this state election year. (More details on that soon).
So you'll be enjoying yourself, and making a difference.
The Mark Latham event has attracted a large number of reviews on our Facebook page from died in the wool Labor and Greens supporters. You can tell a lot about a person by their friends, but even more by their enemies. And if they haven't made enemies, then they probably haven't done a lot.
By buying a ticket and inviting your friends along you can tell Peter Lewis "Washed up by 45", Ron Kenyon "He's no star, he's an out of control meteorite", James Hallahan "Labour rat" and the rest that online bullying says more about them and their values than it does about Latham. And that mainstream Australia has had enough of uncivil society.
Latham is a good speaker, with genuine insight and feeling for the "Forgotten People", and his hardnosed, economically realistic attitude hasn't changed since he was elected the youngest mayor of Liverpool ever and set about reforming its sclerotic budget and operations.
Cost is $45 for AIP members, $35 student members and $55 for non-members and includes all food and drink. To book, click here.
Bonus extra: we'll tell you a bit more about our state election year project.
When: June 9 at 6:00 for 6:30 pm Where: Coorparoo RSL, 45 Holdsworth Street, Coorparoo Cost: $45 for AIP members, $35 for student members. $55 non-members. Includes all food and drink.. To book, click here.
