Don't forget the inaugural Sir Thomas McIlwraith Lecture this coming Wednesday, July 29.

The first lecture will be delivered by John Wagner, whose family business Wagners developed, own and operate the Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport. This visionary piece of infrastructure recognises how Brisbane is developing and sets us up for the next 100 years at no cost to the taxpayer.

This is the sort of progress that the institute supports and Queenslanders ought to value much more.

The lecture is designed to celebrate those individuals who have made a significant contribution to this state through their individual initiative and is named in honour of Sir Thomas McIlwraith, an early premier of Queensland who exhibited these qualities.
