Reminder Nigel Biggar: Colonialism - Australia's Unfinished Business

A taste of what you will get is in today's Australian

Dear ,

Our guest at lunch this Thursday October 31, Professor Nigel Biggar, is certainly making his presence felt.

He had an article written about him and his views by Paul Kelly, published in The Australian a week ago. Then on Saturday he is writing in Inquirer about how Australia was settled, not invaded.

Now today he is in The Australian again arguing the Australia does not need to choose between royalty and republicanism - a subtle rebuke to the Lidia Thorpes of this world. (I've attached an image of this last article in case you don't have a subscription to the online Australian).

All of which suggests you should give this troublesome Anglican priest and Oxford Don a good looking over.

One thing - we've had to change the venue. Instead of the Queensland Club it is now at the United Services Club. Dress codes are more relaxed and there is free parking behind the club. And where better to launch a defence of Western Civilisation?
