AIP joins with Australasian Study of Parliament Group, Queensland Former Parliamentary Members' Association and the TJ Ryan Foundation.
Dear ,
On March 10 we will be co-hosting and contributing to a panel discussion on the last state election at an event to be held in the Parliamentary Annexe, cosponsored by the Australian Study of Parliament Group, Queensland Former Members' Association and the TJ Ryan Foundation..
While we all know what happened, the why and the how are always in dispute. Even those running the campaigns, with a heap of research at their finger tips, often differ on the why and the how.
A good example of this is that our Labor competitors in the 1995 state election, which ultimately brought Rob Borbidge and Joan Sheldon to power, to this day blame Paul Keating and his unpopularity. Our research said it was our clever campaign. But it is worth considering, and factoring into the future, that we could both be right.
To book for this function click here.
Speakers will be Sarah Elks, from The Australian, Dr Frank Mols from Queensland University, John Mickel, former speaker of the Queensland parliament, and me.
The venue will be the Green Deck in the Parliamentary Annexe and the function will start at 6:00 pm. Food and drink will be provided, and admission is free.
Once again, to book, click here. But don't leave it long as tickets are selling fast.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Regards,
GRAHAM YOUNG EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
