Gigi Foster to do another Big Dialogue on COVID

Dear ,

AIP member Murray Hancock has a complementary enterprise called "Brisbane Dialogues". The Dialogues is a classical liberal endeavour where he assembles a panel with opposing views and a moderator knocks their heads together to see not only where they disagree, but where they can agree.

I was on one of his panels on climate change earlier this year, and the one thing all the panellists were able to agree on was that nuclear energy was probably part of the policy answer. That was a very useful exercise.

Murray's next Dialogue is entitled "How Should We Manage the Next Pandemic?" and features:

* Professor Gigi Foster co-author of The Great Covid Panic and Do lockdowns and border closures serve the “greater good”? A cost-benefit analysis of Australia’s reaction to COVID-19
*
Peter Harris AO, Advisory Board member at Global Infrastructure Partners and formerly Chairman of the Productivity Commission
* Paul Griffin, Director of Infectious Diseases at Mater Health Services, Associate Professor at the University of Queensland School of Medicine
* Isobel Marshall, Young Australian of the Year 2021 and a medical student at the University of Adelaide as well as a member of the independent inquiry into Australia's COVID response.

Date is Monday November 21, 6:00 to 8:45 pm and tickets range between $10 for students to $50 general admission. There is also a premium ticket for $150. To book click here.

I'll be there, so say hi if you see me.

Regards,

GRAHAM YOUNG
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
