Not too late to book for next Wednesday's lecture and dinner
We've confirmed our numbers with the Greek Club for next Wednesday's Sir Thomas McIlwraith Lecture, but we've left room for a few late bookings. In the spirit of McIlwraith, who was a notable entrepreneur, we've taken a small risk to ensure we can satisfy all of our members and supporters, even those who don't make up their mind until the last minute!
This speech is one not to miss. Not only is Professor Bartlett one of our foremost medical researchers and a winner of the CSL Florey medal (an honour which he shares with Nobel Laureates Professors Marshall and Warren, as well as Professor Ian Frazer), but he is an engaging and informative speaker.
You'll wake-up Thursday morning knowing a lot of things you didn't Wednesday, and you're guaranteed a great social time as well.
The purpose of the lecture is to celebrate entrepreneurial effort. At a time when it seems everyone wants to be a victim, it's good to remember that it's the victors who really change the way we are.
