We've  been running a petition in favour of retaining Lady Cilento's name on Brisbane's Childrens Hospital.

Now we’ve decided to take it offline and onto the streets, and we are looking for some volunteers to staff a booth outside the hospital with a petition for signature.

As you're probably aware the government made the decision to change the name after being petitioned by some doctors. They then conducted an online consultation, which we said from the start was flawed because it allowed multiple voting.

Since then investigations by Nine News have shown that, as we argued, there was multiple voting from IP addresses. Further they showed that some of them came from ministerial offices.

Now Nine has released the results of Galaxy polling which shows that 65% of Brisbane residents want Lady Cilento’s name retained on the hospital.

If you have some time available tomorrow, and can get to the Lady Cilento hospital, could you let me know? The Queensland Nurses Professional Association will be there as well.
