Bravura performance

Dear ,
I appreciate a number couldn't make this event because it was unavoidably postponed due to Matt's ill-health, but he was obviously fully recovered.
He spoke for around two hours (which is a record for any of our functions, and not what I was expecting), and during the whole presentation I didn't hear a foot shuffle, a mouth yawn, or the scuttle of someone escaping the Stair Stadium. I bet his lectures at U Syd, when he was an associate professor there, were well-attended.
The speech was studded with graphs, data and facts, and I've asked Matt to provide a copy of the presentation and the speech so we can circulate them.
If you were one who booked but couldn't make it, hopefully this will partially compensate for the lost experience.
You might also be interested in our next function, which is a speech by former prime minister of Papua New Guinea, Peter O'Neill. It is entitled "Papua New Guinea and its key role in regional security". Peter was PM for nine years between 2011 and 2019 and is a great moderniser of the country. He is still an elected MP and it is quite possible he will be PM again quite soon (Michael Somare was prime minister in four separate periods so there system doesn't always operate like ours).
The date is September 16, the 49th anniversary of PNG independence at 12:00 for 12:30 pm at the Brisbane Club 241 Adelaide Street, Brisbane. Cost ranges between $100 for concessions, $165 for general admissions, with AIP members at $135. It includes a two-course meal and all drinks. To book click here.
If you like what we do, would like the discount, and are not yet a member, then you can fix that by clicking here.
I will be back in touch when Matt sends me the speech and presentation, and I look forward to seeing you at another function.
Regards,
GRAHAM YOUNG EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
