John Wagner, Chairman of Wagners, owners and developers of Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport in Toowoomba. Wagners is a family-owned business started in 1989. The Wellcamp Airport was developed last year and took twelve months from approval to completion. While Sydney is still trying to agree on the site of a second airport, Brisbane is there already as a result of individual initiative and private capital. Wellcamp is the first greenfields airport capable of taking large passenger liners since Avalon in 1953. And the only one built by private enterprise in Australia.
