While many of us thought The Voice Referendum would be the “end of the matter”, or if not the end, the beginning of the end, for others it was a small failure on the way to greater triumph.
It’s obvious that we need to completely rethink, as a nation, what European settlement means today, otherwise we are caught in the same channel of backward and forward struggles.
Prof Biggar is the Emeritus Regius Professor of Moral Theology at the University of Oxford and a Distinguished Scholar in Residence at Pusey House, Oxford and has written 10 books, many dozens of academic article, and contributed to major publications such as the Financial Times and the Telegraph.
His recent works include “Colonialism: A Moral Reckoning” (2023) and “What’s Wrong with Rights?” (2020).
Prof Biggar is also the Chairman of the Board of the Free Speech Union UK.
