Launch of “The Impatient Libertarian: Which Road Ahead” by Ron Manners AO

Ron Manners AO is a successful veteran of the Australian mining industry who has supported the development of 2,500+ young advocates for a classical liberal world through his Mannkal Economic Education Foundation.

In this, his eighth book, Ron Manners explores the way ahead for free market economics through the lens of the lives of 5 leading proponents.

This quick tour of these five lives will enable you to select your own optimal mix of “Ideas vs Strategy” – one that will increase your effectiveness.

Born in Kalgoorlie Ron became a miner after studying electrical engineering at the Kalgoorlie School of Mines. He is Chairman of the Mannwest Group (established 1895). Highlights of his career include floating Croesus Mining, at one time Australia’s third-largest gold miner. He is the Chairman Emeritus and Patron of the Mining Hall of Fame where he was also inducted as a “living legend”.

In August 2020 Ron was appointed to the board of the Mont Pelerin Society, an international economics-based group founded by FA Hayek, Milton Friedman and others in 1947.

In November 2020 Ron was presented with the Sir Antony Fisher Achievement Award by the Atlas Network.

This function will be an opportunity to meet with friends and supporters of free market economics at a time when centralised control of not just the economy, but what we can say and do in our private lives, appears to be gaining ascendancy.
